Conceptual Framework

07 September 2011

Substitute culture media using gelatine uses beef broth as protein source. Since Golden Apple Snail is known to be a best and a rich source of protein. Farmers, especially in third world countries eat the pests that eat their crops; a rich source of protein. A previous study has already established that protein from kuhol may be used as protein source for substitute culture medium.  In the study mentioned, the researchers grew e.coli in kuhol culture medium.

This study has taken into account the different life stages of kuhol, we assumed that the protein level of kuhol increases with age and as protein levels increase bacterial growth increases as well. With the use of Biuret Protein Assay, we will measure the protein levels of kuhol in every stage, then we will grow E.coli bacteria in our prepared culture medium from kuhol protein and determine its microbial density. Armed with the information on kuhol protein concentration and bacterial growth, we will establish if there is a direct or indirect relationship between the protein levels and groth of E.coli.

and by the way this is the conceptual model i came up with

Obe, can't connect the non selective agar, will edit this tomorrow, i need some clarifications and by the way, i came up with a conceptual model as to how i understand the study, tried to do the conceptual framework the way i understood it pero i feel like i'm running through what we're going to do in our research
